Bahá’í Principles as Consumers and Entrepreneurs
January 16, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
In the 25th of November letter of the Universal House of Justice we read “your efforts to succour and support one another as well as your sisters and brothers in society at large will certainly need to be sustained.” So how can we bring Baha’i principles to society at large and how can we apply them in the places where we spend most of our time: our workplaces? How can our companies become sources of hope and positive impact? And how can we use our influence as mindful consumers to reward good enterprises?
Daniel Truran is serving as director of the ebbf – ethical business building the future. ebbf is a baha’i-inspired global learning community that accompanies mindful individuals and groups, through daily work and discourse to transform business and the economy, thereby contributing to a prosperous, just and sustainable civilization. Some examples of ebbf members living their Baha’i Values at work can be found here.
Since he Declared as a Baha’i in Milan in 2001 Daniel has dedicated the last 20 years to explore and harness the connection between Baha’i values, the purpose and the actions of people and companies, inspiring and creating communities and movements that are building the future, a better, more prosperous, sustainable and just future. Besides his role at ebbf.org he is also currently B Corp ambassador at B Lab Europe and teaches at various masters and business schools.
